Tammy DeGregorio, DMD, NMD, IBDM, FAAO, AIAOMT
Dr. Tammy DeGregorio specializes in holistic, biological dentistry and in providing personalized treatment plan solutions based upon the individual’s specific health needs and long-term health goals. Being a board-certified naturopathic physician, Dr. DeGregorio customizes her treatment plans, taking into regard the long-term impacts of dental treatment and dental materials on the bodily systems as a whole.
Dr. DeGregorio is an accredited member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (AIAOMT), having completed extensive training on the safe removal of amalgam/mercury fillings and is Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique (SMART) certified. She is greatly honored to have served on their board of directors and as a past President of the IAOMT. She is a graduate of the American College of Integrative Medicine and Dentistry (ACIMD) and has received board certification in Integrative Biologic Dental Medicine (IBDM) and board certification from the American Naturopathic Medical Certification Board (NMD). She has earned fellowship with the American Academy of Ozonotherapy (FAAO) and is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the Holistic Dental Association (HDA), the International Academy of Biological Dentistry & Medicine (IABDM) and is a charter member of the International Association of Mercury Safe Dentists. Dr. DeGregorio is also licensed with the Professional Wellness Alliance as a pastoral counselor providing guidance on the mind-body-spirit connection to healing.
After recovering from occupational mercury poisoning, Dr. DeGregorio has dedicated her career to helping others who want to be treated in the safest and most compassionate way possible.
Dr. DeGregorio is a native of Pittsburgh and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and established her practice in Shadyside in 1993.
Michele Rich, DMD, AIAOMT
Michele M. Rich, DMD, graduated from the Pittsburgh School of Dentistry in 2001. She currently serves as a colonel in U.S. Army Dental Corps and has the honor and privilege to take care of our soldiers’ dental needs all over the world. A member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky Dental Associations, she stays current in many of the professional organizations of her peers.
Dr. Michele Rich has completed extensive training at the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) in Advanced Esthetics and displays a unique passion for making smiles beautiful. She has been recognized as an elite dental provider, winning the prestigious MAC Model Search award, and specializes in making all-porcelain restorations utilizing the CEREC CAD/CAM system for over 20 years. This state-of-the-art technology allows efficient same-day treatment opportunities to better serve our expansive patient base on a comprehensive level. She has earned her accreditation with the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) and, current in her SMART certification, is proud to be able to provide safe and holistic dentistry utilizing the most biologically friendly materials and techniques. Integrating the use of oxygen ozone therapy techniques in all treatment modalities, the standard of care provided at the Pittsburgh Center for Holistic Dentistry remains second to none.
Completing training with the American College of Integrative Medicine and Dentistry, Dr. Michele Rich is also board certified as a Naturopathic Physician. As a personal passion, she enjoys exploring the world of energy medicine and has completed advanced trainings in ACMOS, A.R.T., and BioGeometry techniques. Bringing this unique perspective to patient care, she is able to connect with and enhance the holistic experience in health and healing.
Taylor, Registered Dental Hygienist
Taylor graduated from West Liberty University with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been practicing since 2019. Taylor recently moved from West Virginia to Pennsylvania with her husband, Brandon, and enjoys traveling and spending time with their dogs.
Ashley, Dental Assistant
Ashley is our office superstar assistant! She has been dental assisting since high school and has a unique understanding of the creative and artistic aspects of dentistry. Ashley is a certified phlebotomist and is also certified in oxygen ozone therapies for dentistry. She and her husband, Jared, are raising two beautiful daughters, Miranda and Melanie.
Nancy, Front Desk Coordinator
Nancy joined our practice after working for many years in the dental field. She enjoys assisting patients in acquiring healthy smiles by providing information and through a positive experience in the office. Nancy enjoys music, creative art projects, and travel. Nancy and her husband, David, love spending time with their three daughters and their families.
Kristan, Front Office Administrative Assistant
Kristan serves as our front office Administrative Assistant. She has extensive experience in organizational management and works as our flow coordinator. In her free time, she enjoys time with family and her dog.
